How to remove Spy Shredder?
My friend called me frantically today. I thought what good stuff he has for me… turned out it was his computer that needs some serious attention. To illustrate the matter better, I requested him to do some screen shots.
Whenever he starts his computer, Spy Shredder would popup and claims there are viruses and trojans in his computer. In order to remove them, he will need to purchase the full version Spy Shredder!
A quick search on the Internet reveals that Spy Shredder is a trojan application itself that lures the victim into buying the product by displaying false positive malware detections on the his computer. How Spy Shredder infected my friend’s computer is unknown, but most likely by exploiting his browser’s security. Moreover, Spy Shredder may install other malware on the victim’s computer, thus further damaging his system. Immediate removal is advised.

Have you heard of the latest 4G wireless broadband in Malaysia? I saw their banners and brochures at a few places already lately. Really aggressive marketing and promotions! This new offering is actually from iZZinet Sdn.Bhd., which uses one of the 4G technology touted as iBurst. Sounds futuristic and canggih.
Even the name “iZZi” sounds interesting. Basically it represents — Easy to use, easy to access, easy to buy, easy to plug n play, easy for mobility – incredible user-friendliness and flexibility! A quick check on their website caught my interest and I called up to inquire more.
The PCMCIA iZZione package costs RM1,138 per year. Not too expensive compared to other providers in Malaysia such as Streamyx and Maxis. But the coverage is only within Klang Valley only and it’s really pathetic as my area is not yet covered! What the heck they claim they have covered 70% of Klang Valley?
One more thing, you need to pay up-front 12 months and their is no trial period. If their connectivity and service sucks, then you are the one who suffers. However, if you are interested to speak to a lovely voice, do call this number 1300 88 8638. 🙂
Show Top Commentators wordpress plugin
Recently I saw a lot of bloggers are using the Top Commentators, or Show Top Commentators plugin, which does nothing but showing you the person who has commented the most in a period which you can set. By period you can set I mean you can configure the plugin to reset hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and etc.
I am not sure if this is good for my blog, but this is definitely good for bloggers or website owners who comment on my blog. It drives traffic to your blog! Internet gurus say so… so if you don’t believe me, you should believe them!

Use your mobile phone as a Bluetooth modem to allow your PDA to go online
Today, I am going to show you a hidden feature on my Dell PDA which was unearthed by me and myself not too long ago. My Dell Axim X51 doesn’t come with the capability to go online by itself, it can only go online by connecting to a WIFI access point. This of course isn’t a problem if you have a handy access point, but what if you are on the move?
Ha… don’t worry, you can go online by using your mobile phone as a modem. Connect the PDA to the mobile phone through bluetooth! Sounds complicated? Not at all, let me give you some guidance on the setup.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Make the visibility to “shown to all”.
- On your Windows Mobile, go to Start > Settings > Connections.
- Click on Bluetooth. Make sure it’s checked to turn it on.
- Click on Devices. Click on New Partnership. Now the system will scan for any Bluetooth devices in reach. After a while, your mobile phone should be found. Select it and click on Next.
- Select Dialup Networking.
- Click on Finish.
Cool, now you have successfully created a partnership between your PDA and your mobile phone. Let’s continue to create a new connection.

Actually, Wuching wants to take a break to see how my desktop looks like, so I have to make a screen shot and show it here. Surprisingly, there is no sexy chicks nor pretty girls. Only a beautiful tiger, guarding my laptop. 🙂
This awesome picture was downloaded from one of the many wallpapers websites on the net. Can’t recall which one though. Can’t deny that my desktop is messy… lots of files and folders. Some of them even I myself don’t know what they are there for. LOL. 🙂

The Internet is a great place to look for free lunch… I mean stuff which include high quality royalty free images. One website which offers these images/photos which you can for your websites, blogs, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters and etc is FreeDigitalPhotos.net. Although they are not as big as Corbis or iStockPhoto which stocks tens of thousands of photos across a vast variety of subjects, FreeDigitalPhotos.net does have a few hundreds of free web quality photos for free download and use.
Since I like photos of faces and people, naturally I checked their “People” category, and downloaded a couple of photos for use in my web projects.

OK, I know I am bad for baiting you to come here with PSP and Nintendo DS Lite, but don’t get mad at me first. Check out this DIY project from Michael, which teaches you how to build a DIY Handheld Electronic Game.
Although the whole thing looks pretty simple, but you need a lot of electronics and software programming knowledge to come up with something like this. Look at his C programming codes, not for those faint hearted, right? Anyway, if you are good in electronics, you might want to do something similar. Follow his DIY steps. The components should be easily available from your local electronics shop. If not, the most pay Jalan Pasar, Pudu a visit. I am sure you can find all the electronic components there.
