UPDATE 8 April 2009
Check out the all new P1 WiMAX USB Modem. It’s so small and sexy you will want to bring it with you all the time… and flash it when you see some hot chicks around.

Looks like many of you are interested to know what are the big broadband providers in Malaysia, or at least those who are happening and actively promoting their broadband services. Easy, they were in the recent PC Fair. I have not only seen them, I have took a few pictures too. Check these pictures out.
Streamyx. Although Streamyx is still the market leader in Malaysia, at least in terms of number of subscribers, but they are still very active in promoting their services. Remember the “Merdeka RM77” promotion? I think they are scared the other players are catching up.
P1 broadband. A new kid in the lucrative broadband market in Malaysia. I have signed up with them at the PC Fair itself. The whole signing up process took less than 3 minutes… although I have spent another 10 minutes chatting with the promoter. She’s cute and chatty. 🙂
More info on P1 broadband.
Maxis broadband. I nearly signed up with them as a backup to my Streamyx line. But then I found out they don’t have good coverage outside of the Klang Valley… no coverage outside of Kuching in Sarawak for instance. So if I went back to Sarawak, can’t use in Sibu lor. No good.
Celcom broadband. Out of the many wireless broadband providers, I think Celcom is the only one having HSDPA which is supposedly much faster than the usual 3G. I could be wrong, but does Maxis support HSDPA too?
Didn’t see DIGI broadband here… does DIGI offer broadband services other than the EDGE? Which broadband provider are you using now, good or not?
