Passwords are like underwear

We all know that it’s advisable to change your password often, and use at least 8 characters long. It’s good also to make your password easy to remember for yourself, but hard to guess for others.
Some smart people say Passwords are like underwear, you know why?
Here are the reasons…
- Change yours often.
- Don’t leave yours lying around.
- Don’t share them with friends.
- Be mysterious.
- The longer the better.

A little girl sneaked up behind her dad as he was logging onto Paypal. Suddenly she turned and ran to the living room, announcing happily to the rest of the family, “I know daddy’s Paypal password! I know daddy’s Paypal password!”
“What is it?” asked her mother eagerly.
Proudly she replied, “Asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, asterisk, and asterisk!”

that’s so funny but true. i know some sys admins that have 100 chars passwords long and they can remember them :S so true…

I remember keyboard layout as my passwords, meaning the diagram / pattern I draw on the keyboard will be used as passwords. =p
Turn text into graphic / pattern. Try this and you will be amazed how easy it could be to remember long alpha-numeric passwords.

Yup, if you need a short one DR%TGF can be a password but normally I use at least 8 characters, so use your imagination and create your own unique passwords. =)

That’s a problem but it still can be solved. Instead of looking at the keyboard, print a table consist of let say 10*10 records filled with random characters. Apply the same method on the piece of paper instead on the keyboard itself. That will fix it. =)
