PIKOM PC Fair 2007 KLCC

I have just got back from the year end edition of PIKOM PC Fair 2007. Held at the KL Convention Center, next to KLCC. The venue is good as it’s big and new, definitely much better than the old PWTC. But the traffic was damn heavy this afternoon, for a moment I thought some street demonstration was ahead of me! Freak me out as I was wearing orange today! Totally forgot that orange is a sensitive color these days!

Anyway, after some bumper to bumper delay on the road, I finally reached PC Fair in one piece.

Christmas girls

The crowd was hugh as expected. People from all walks of life from around the country flocked to this most talked about IT fair of the year. I pushed my way through the crowd, … and was happily greeted by the above Christmas girls from Ricoh. Haha… not bad, very Christmas feel. Red and with the Santa hat! Looks like a good PC Fair start. 🙂

Twinhead

A few big players such as Twinhead, Ricoh, Samsung, Epson and Olympus were in the first hall. The Ricoh girls were … ah, but wait till you see the Epson girl.

Epson

There, a very friendly and helpful girl from Epson. She was obviously bored standing there for the whole day distributing brochures. When I asked her for a photo, she agreed almost instantaneously and gave her best and sweetest smile for my camera. She was like the girl from next door, little or no makeup at all, young and innocent look. I was delighted. 🙂

The fair was as usual… very similar layout and arrangement like last time. I moved from within the various exhibition halls and checked out whatever gadgets that interested me. But, I think the babes interested me more than gadgets… I have no idea why myself, so please don’t ask me why.

P1 broadband

I noticed that all the major broadband providers in the country were there. You name it, you can find it here. Even the less heard of new player such as P1 was there. Since they had some pretty young promoters there, I stopped to inquire more. It was absolutely free until 31 Dec 2007 and since she offered to fill up the form for me and post for my camera, I delightedly gave her all my particulars to subscribe to the service.

They should sms me the username and password within the next 48 hours, so that I could use their wireless broadband service immediately there after. I will give this new wireless broadband service a try and let you know if they are so good that you should kick Streamyx’s ass, or you should just stick with Streamyx for the time being.

Philips speakers

In the next hall, there were all the speakers… big ass loud speakers and related accessories. All the major players were there, Sonicgear, Altec Lansing, Philips, Panasonic, and a few others which I can’t recall.

Sonicgear

I wasn’t interested in these loud deafening speakers and there were not many chicks here to catch up with, so I quickly headed over to the next section. Good choice, more smiling faces awaited me there!

LG

For a start, a big smiling face from LG.

PC Fair girls

Haha, don’t worry. I have real good stuff for you! How about not one but two absolutely beautiful girls from LG? They have certainly learned the smiling spirits of LG. So sweet and adorable… for a moment I thought I would just stay there and help them with handing out the brochures. But then I realized I have bigger responsibilities, that’s to bring you more pictures and happenings from the PC Fair. Sad, but I had to kiss them goodbye. 🙂

I moved on and reached the Lenovo territory.

Lenovo

Look at the amount of people there. Perhaps they are slowly catching up the the Dell popularity?… I think Dell is still one of the most favored brand in Malaysia, but serious players such as Lenovo and Acer, I guess are doing right in catching up. The Lenovo girls were pretty solid too.

Lenovo girls

Let’s fast forward to the last hall where you can find all the smaller computer retailers, and a few big names. This should be the biggest hall of them all. I shall just show you a couple of pictures and not bore you with too much crap. 🙂

HP pavilion

HP booth with their range of latest laptops.

Microsoft

Microsoft was there too.

Perfect World

Some sort of online game – Perfect World. I haven’t heard about it before, not to mention knowing what’s it about. That proves I am not a gamer at all. 🙂

Okay, that’s about it from this edition of PC Fair… all pictures above are brought to you exclusively from Kitkat – Malaysia’s upcoming problogger. Moving into the ranks of Liucf! Hahahahahahaaa… 🙂
