10,000+ blogs removed from BlogRush

BlogRush promises to bring more traffic to your blog. Their ingenious idea works something like this. Every time the Blogrush widget (notice the cool thing on my sidebar?) displays on your blog, you earn credits. At the same time, your latest blog headline is syndicated to widgets on similar blogs. In this way, blog traffic is shared across similar blogs. For blog owners, it increases traffic and for readers it helps find related content. Ingenious?

However, since I signed up with them and put up their widget a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t notice any significant increase in traffic.

Just when I was about to say bye-bye to Blogrush, I received this email from them this morning.

We’ve just completed a massive SWEEP of our entire network. We’ve removed over *10,000* blogs (Yes, ten thousand) that did not meet our new Quality Guidelines.

We have done a huge “quality control audit” of our network and have reviewed all the blogs one-at-a-time. We will continue to review each NEW blog that is ever submitted to our network.

You will notice the HUGE DIFFERENCE in the quality of blogs that now appear in your widget. This major *sweep* of our network will also increase the click-rates across the entire network and you will start to receive more traffic.

Sounds good and promising. Why not we give them a chance? 🙂

What’s your experience in using Blogrush? Don’t tell me you are among the 10,000+ blogs being removed from their network. Haha 🙂
