It’s time to get away from the usual gadget posts. Today is a big day for Bandar Bukit Puchong 2 residents especially families with kids because this community was having this family day thingy which they called “Sukaneka Kemerdekaan 50” in conjunction with Malaysia’s 50th independence. I just got back from the park where they were having this.
I went off before they ended because the noon heat was unbearable. But worry not because I brought back a lot of pictures to share with you.
The beauty of this park is that it’s spacious and clean. The not so good news is that it’s too clean until there isn’t a big enough tree for shelter so it gets hot very fast. A few big canopies were setup for this big day. Everybody hid under them to get away from the sun!
All participants were given a goodies bag. Beautiful. Let’s take a peek to see what’s inside…
OK, a cap, a flag, a bottle of mineral water and some other small items. Not sure what they were. In case you didn’t know, there were still a lot of these goodies bag left on the table, I suppose this means that the turn out rate wasn’t too good. They expected more to participate! So, if you are a resident here, make sure you turn up and participate next year.
Let’s check out a couple of the games they played here.
The participants were asked to line up and when the whistle went off, they need to rush to the chair where there were sweets hidden in a plate filled with flour. They need to use their mouth and tongue to dig out the sweet and carry them with their mouth to the other end of the line. Repeat this until the time was up. The participant who dug the most sweet won the game.
The other one was this table tennis game.
Nope, it was not played on a table tennis table. The participants were asked to deliver table tennis balls using a small spoon from one end of the line to the other. The quickest one won the game. Easy, right? 🙂
What were the prizes? Beautiful trophies and other prizes as memento.
Wasn’t it great to come here and mingle with your neighbors whom otherwise you may not even have a chance to see their faces because of busy work everyday. Not to mention to have the time to talk and greet each other.
So, make sure you come next year, OK! Win some games, bring back big trophies and at the same time get to know your neighbors better. 🙂
