We introduced you to Foxit Reader sometime ago. Now, with the release of version 3.0, this good lightweight PDF reader gets even better.
New features found in the latest version of this free PDF reader include Firefox support, an improved selection tool, a thumbnail panel, and many more. Among the handful of new and improved features, the most notable ones are such as:
- Firefox Support
With the Firefox Plugin, users can view and work with PDF files loaded in Foxit Reader within the Firefox browser. This means you can now quickly view any PDF files directly in a Firefox tab! Prior to this version, PDF links would prompt a download and the document would load outside of Firefox in the standalone Foxit Reader. - Thumbnail Panel
Shows thumbnail images for each PDF page and allows users to quickly view relevant portions of a PDF file. Now users can navigate through large PDF files with ease! - Enticing Multimedia Design
Now users can not only play multimedia files in Foxit Reader, but also are empowered to add, edit or delete multimedia files with the incredible Movie Tool and Sound Tool. - Improved Select Text Tool
This tool is not only useful for selecting text, but it also enables users to add most types of annotations, including highlight, strikeout, underline, squiggly, replacement, etc. - Layout Panel
Lists PDF layers in the document, allows users to control the display of some certain content areas. - Better Annotation Control
Allows users to align and center multiple annotations on PDF pages, including Notes, Drawing Markups and Typewriter Comments.
