I was in for a surprise when I dropped by Maju Jaya food court for lunch today. This food court located at Puchong Utama is now providing WIFI access! For free, I must add!
Banners proudly announce this new service loud and clear. There is even a hugh leaderboard banner hanging at a prominent spot announcing that they will have an Internet Workshop on 25 November 2007.
Not sure what will the workshop cover, but I believe it will be on the basics of Internet surfing, sending and receiving emails and stuff like that. They will not touch complicated stuff such as make money online through blogs! 🙂

This food court is quite big, although not as happening as Min Tien food court at Taman Megah, but I guess the size is comparable. So, you must have some decent wireless equipment to cover the whole area.
I had some excuses and the lady who mans the food court allowed me a quick peek at their equipments. Their modem and router are located inside the payment counter. They have a wireless Belkin router connected to a simple Tmnet broadband modem. But that Belkin router looks good as it has 3 big-ass antennas! Signal strength must be several times of the stupid wireless modem router I have at home. On top of that, at the other end of the food court, they have a Belkin signal repeater/booster to enhance the wireless signal.
