What can you do if your Recycle Bin is full? Of course you can just trash all the rubbish inside and then you have an empty and fresh bin to work with.
But, do you know the beauty with Windows’ Recycle Bin is that you can increase and decrease its size as you wish? The Recycle Bin is automatically set to a default size which is equivalent to 10 percent of the drive’s size. Follow the following simple steps to change this default size:
- Right click on the Recycle Bin icon on the Desktop of your computer. Then select Properties.
- Adjust the slider bar in the center of the screen from 10% to any other size as you see fit.
- Click on the OK button to save your new setting and exit the Recycle Bin Properties Window.
- Reboot your computer so that Windows can pick up your new setting.
Tip: The maximum size of your Recycle Bin is still limited to the maximum available size of your hard disk!
