Believe it or not, both founders of Nuffnang, Timothy Tiah and Cheo Ming Shen are in the nomination list of this year’s Businessweek Asia’s Best Young Entrepreneurs award! Timothy is not only the youngest among the 25 finalist, he’s also the only Malaysian there. He’s 23 only.

There, that’s Timothy Tiah, aka Boss Stewie! Girls, he’s still available… It’s not usual for me to put a big portrait photo on my blog, but I do it now because I hope by doing this he will send some big paying advertisers to my blog… haha, I want to make big money online also!

I know you have seen and used Facebook, but probably you are now bored with it. But have you seen Hatebook? Hatebook is a parody of social networking site, Facebook that looks and functions exactly the same, except with an evil twist. It lets you express your anger and rage.

Hatebook has many features that are similar with Facebook, and the interface is almost an exact copy only that it’s a fiery red evil theme. Hatebook is a place for you to be anti social and conniving.

After you sign up with them, you will be greeted with the following evil message:

Hello Sucker! Welcome to Hatebook! Your registration to the Evil Empire was successful. Feel free to pimp your hate profile.

In your profile, you list the things that you hate, and network with other evil people to create lies. You can even receive hate points. You also have the ability to upload photos and create hate albums and videos of those people whom you hate!

Some people are really creative. They see the popularity of Facebook and quickly created something similar, only name it Hatebook!

If you have bad Streamyx connection, such as intermittent or frequent disconnection, one of the likely cause could be a faulty splitter. Although I agree that 90% of the time it’s due to problem at Streamyx side. Anyway, to improve Streamyx’s speed and stability, it’s important to get a good phone splitter. The one from Aztech is of good quality and affordable at the same time.

I bought this from IT Planet, one of the only few IT stores in Puchong. This store is located in Tesco Puchong. Retails for RM15, but I managed to bargain to RM10.

I have a couple of telephone sockets at home and the one in the study room is already installed with a phone splitter because that’s the one connected to the Streamyx line. But the other one in the living room which is connected to the phone is problematic when I am online… Whenever someone uses the phone, I may get disconnected from Streamyx, and static and dialing tonnes could be heard on the phone too.

My job involves a certain amount of programming and sometimes when the odd strikes a little tiny bit of web design. Today, a friend called up and asked me to check his website which shows “FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!” error message on his OSCommerce powered storefront. That happens all of a sudden according to him…

I told him not to panic as the solution is pretty simple.

Do a .htaccess file and put the following line in it. Upload it to the server and all should be well again.

php_value register_globals 1

That blardy friend didn’t know how to do it and I have to help him with that. Helped him and his is all smiles again!

Just want to put here to share with you all should you run into the same problem. I think the likely cause is his server setting has somehow changed, perhaps by the hosting company who decided to turn off register_global for security reasons.

Not too long ago, I brought you on a tour to Digital Mall. This is of course a good place to check out or buy whatever latest gears and gadgets you want, including the latest iPhone and iPod Touch. But for KL or even some Petaling Jaya folks, IT World at Mid Valley Megamall should be more popular especially if you have a family.

Folks with a family can head over to the IT World for a quick update on the latest IT gadgets… just browse and play with the latest iPhone, HTC PDAs, iPod Touch… talk cock with the very friendly salesmen… while the wives and girlfriends are busy with making up their hair, doing their nails, trying the smoking hot dresses; and the children are busying reading in MPH. Don’t you think this is a great place?!
