This time the change involves the drop-down menu. As users were asking about a fly-out option where they have multiple level of sub-pages, we have decided to incorporate this into the theme.

So we are happy to report that this WordPress theme now caters for multi-level drop-down menu.

The theme has been tested to be compatible with WordPress 3.0. But note that IE 8 renders the footer with an error message, this is due to the Javascript for the fly-out feature. Firefox and Google Chrome renders it OK.

That’s a sneak peek at how the homepage of the blog is going to look like. The theme is optimized to take two 250×250 Google Adsense ads on the homepage right beside the featured post. To change the Google Adsense ads to yours, you simply need to open up the index.php file in the theme’s folder and edit two lines.

Scroll to lines 17 and 22, and replace them with your relevant Google Adsense codes. Simple as that.

For this Real Estate WordPress theme, I have decided to put the “sidebar” at the bottom to make more room for the featured posts and other content (including Google Adsense, of course) in the upper area. Some of the codes are re-used from its predecessor, the Corporate WordPress theme.

  Drop-downs are included to cater for long archive lists so the page will look neater.

  Font size is reduced to create more space for more menu items.

  Overall font size is increased to improve readability.

Main/Header Picture

We also received some questions on how to change the main/header pictures. Here are some guidelines.

• The recommended width is 380 pixels.
• The recommended height is 250-300 pixels.
• The pictures will randomly change when the page is refreshed.
• Currently it randomize between 2 pictures. For example if you wish to increase this to 5 pictures, open the file “main_photo.php” with a text editor such as Notepad. Change the line $random_image = rand(1,2) to $random_image = rand(1,5). Notice that you actually need to change the second number in the coding, from 2 to 5.
• The picture is to be named in the following format: header_1.jpg, header_2.jpg, header_3.jpg and etc.
• Save the pictures in the “headers” folder.

Bottom Navigation

This is the section where the Categories, Archives, Recent Comments and Links are displayed. The default is to display 11 lines each (except the comments which will only display the latest 5 comments), and if you have more than that, the older ones will be in drop downs. By using drop downs the page will not grow too long and become messy.

I have no download counter on this blog so I am not sure how many have downloaded here but I do get pingback whenever the theme is being used. The result is totally “out of this world”!

However, I realized that the bottom section of the theme can get pretty tall if you added too many categories, or if your blog’s archive dated back more than a year. Worry not, I quickly devised a solution… and that’s to group the older archives and the categories into drop downs.

To make the theme support Widgets, please download and update the two files in this package namely sidebar.php and style.css.

Picture speaks a thousand words. Look at a screen shot above, don’t you think this theme looks clean and professional? The colors used are mainly universal corporate colors such as white, gray, black and blue.

The theme’s design is very simple and straight forward, not cluttered with too many unnecessary graphics and widgets. This makes the theme highly customizable as you can stick whatever you want wherever you like!

On the homepage you can see there’s a huge corporate look graphic. Actually the theme includes a total of seven professional graphics which displays randomly as you refresh the page. You can of course change these graphics easily – simply replace them in the “headers” folder.

While the homepage consists of one column, with the categories, monthly archives and recent comments grouped neatly at the bottom; the inside pages are made up of two columns.

The theme was built based on an old theme I got hold from a forum some time ago. I enhanced the theme by incorporating features such as flashy title fonts and make it widgets ready.

Some notable features:

2. Works well with WordPress 2.2 and above. Frankly, I have not tested this theme on WordPress lower than version 2.2.
3. Includes 404 template, search template, and archive template which you can easily edit.
