This is science can save lives. I keep hearing of more and more pedestrians being hit by cars lately. a lot of this is actually caused by mobile devises acting as a distraction for drivers and pedestrians but if we can use portable devices to in fact help with this problem it will be a complete reversal. superb concept and thank you for sharing

This is good in theory, but there’s always the chance of failure. Also, it may cost a lot more money for the car manufacturers (and barely/no direct benefit to them).

This is science can save lives. I saw a TV commercial for Ford Focus ( I don’t know the exact model of this car on another country) featuring not pedestrian detection but how near is your car to the next car and it will break/stop you car automatically if it’s too near. I think this is much more useful.
