If you thought Sony’s recently launched 3D TVs were hot, I guess it’s time you check out Samsung’s all-new 3D LED TVs. Aimed at revolutionizing the way home-viewers watch the telly, Samsung’s brilliant new technology has been unveiled at exactly the right time, just about three months before the World Cup kicks off! Imagine watching Brazil versus Spain on one of these breathtaking screens! Now that’s what you call the ultimate viewing experience!
Be prepared to anticipate incredible depth and clarity perfection with a whole range of new 3D LED TVs from Samsung, from the entry-model 46-inch C7000 series, to bigger models such as the 55-inch. For now, viewers are expected to wear a pair of electronic glasses that opens and closes in quick succession, providing you with the perfect 3D effect and experience.
The recent rise of popularity of 3D TVs is attributed to the success of Avatar, a recent 3D blockbuster made by master-director James Cameron. And the World Cup is set to reap dividend from this recent interest in 3D TVs as more of the population are expected to invest in 3D TVs ahead of the World Cup this summer to get the best viewing experience possible!
Hats off to the cool dudes at Samsung Electronics in Korea for this amazing invention, and for the impeccable timing as well! Samsung disclosed that they are planning to enrich the way viewers watch sports, movies and TV at home. We believe you guys, completely!

Samsung is delivering 3D the way it was meant to be watched, combining the Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blu-ray player or the Samsung HT-C6930W 3D Blu-ray integrated home theater system, stylish 3D active glasses and movie in Blu-ray 3D.The result: Full HD with lifelike depth and color clarity at home.
Additionally, during the second half of 2010, the most successful animated film franchise of all time – DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek film series – will be available in 3D Blu-ray for Samsung home solutions.

Samsung is indeed giving Sony a run for its money. Samsung’s performance in product development and innovation today is greater than Sony’s. A good thing too as the consumers are benefiting.

I personally have been a bit of a Sony fan lately. It seems that most of the home electronics I buy ends up being Sony. Still, it is good to see competition starting to heat up in the 3D tv market. I’m sure other manufacturers will jump on board soon. I won’t be investing in any of the early models though. Give it a year or two and tv prices are bound to come down as newer technology comes out.

Looks like Samsung is going to be a leader in the 3D LED market as well. I’m a little hesitant in buying this technology because the price will probably drop after a little while on the market.

Sony has some serious competition in the form of Samsung, and if their dominance on LCD monitors is anything to go by, Sony is going to have a serious fight on their hands for dominance of the 3D marketplace. Got to love technology!

I don’t think 3D TVs will ever take off that much more than a novelty simply because of having to wear those glasses everytime.

I’m doing a research project on the World Cup experience and would like to hear about your experiences from the 2006 or 2002 world Cups. Whether you were at a match in person in the city when it occurred or watching from a country that was playing. Tell me about you most memorable experience.

Actually I saw a list of upcoming movies that are being released in 3D. It was an impressive list of 10+ movies. So it seems like many movies are taking advantage of this technology. Still, it’s probably not enough to justify buying a 3D tv yet. I think the people who buy a 3D tv early would be mostly sports fanatics who want to watch the world cup in 3D, as well as other future sporting events.

The 3D LED models by Samsung actually look stunning in real life. Samsung is one company that is taking extra steps in adding a new design dimension to its 3D TVs.
The new 3D TV technology is moving at a very fast rate now. There is now even talk of 3D TV without glasses coming onto the market in the near future. Once the content for the 3D format is increased, then the uptake of 3D TVs will be much bigger.
I’m a great fan of the technology and watching programs that look more realistic so can’t wait for further developments.
Lets not forget the enhanced gaming experience that the technology provides
