The smart friend list and status filter allows a company to segment and target their followers. If your company specializes in multiple things, you can sort your friends according to their interest in your company and then send targeted messages to those specific groups. This was the biggest advantage of Google+. But since Facebook still has a hold on the social media market and has responded to Google's filters, it will be nice to test out this new feature.
