I am not a huge fan of screensavers because I prefer to turn my computer off or go into hibernation when I am not using it… saves electricity bill. Haha. The only purpose of screensavers in my opinion is for the fun of it if it’s really a cool one.
Now, the Dropclock Screensaver has to be one of the coolest one we have ever seen! It’s an asthetically intriguing motion clock screensaver. Every minute of real time is numeriaclly expressed with heavy helvetica dropping into water in super slow motion. OK, now see this screensaver in action…
Super cool, isn’t it? Dropclock is a huge screensaver for free download at close to 150MB. It’s available for Windows XP, Windows Vista with .net framework 1.1 and MAC OSX 10.33 – 10.5. Oh, before I forgot, the free download is a trial version, and the full version cost US$15 only. Don’t let this upset you… go download and try!

Saw a lot of designers are using this one. But 150MB just too big for a small screen saver that comes out when I’m not there

is screensaver looks create and has the practicality of showing you the time whenever your computer is idle, superb!
The screensaver can be used as Full in Trial Version except that the first 15 seconds of showing has a dialog box for purchase activation. After these few seconds the full screensaver is shown in its entirety for the super duration so you can ignore other reviews of it not being “worth the money”, you don’t need to pay to appreciate this piece.
Further I very much disagree with the statement its “heavy on your computer” I found it to load and exit as quick as any screensaver, and while in use the computer showed little processing effort.
