I think I will get a Samsung NC10, it looks really great and has good specs. Or does anybody know a notebook with similar specs?

Yes this is a netbook but there are lot better than this one such as EEEPC 1000H, MSI Wind and Samsung NC10.

True. That's disappointingly small. Hopefully they'll offer a larger hard drive option soon. But I wonder what that will do to the price.

As a owner of a Dell Mini, let me enlighten you guys bit. This is a NETBOOK. Please do not make the mistake of comparing it with a notebook, that was never its purpose. This an incredible little machine, really. It changes the concept of how small portable computers can get before becoming a Nokia Mobile Computer.

Its main purpose, and one that has served me well during the last one month is internet browsing. It comes with a broadband, HSPDA modem built in hence the RM 23++ price tag. (otherwise, it could cost around RM 1600 like how its sold in the US).

The fact that its comes with the built on modem means you can carry internet anywhere without having to worry about wifi hotspots, USB modems or in my case, lame battery life on my N95.

Its built quality is suprisingly good, even better than my full fledged Dell laptop, definately better than the similar Acer EEPC.

Yes the SSD storage is small (not HDD people) but this is where my 160GB ext HDD (which I got for free being the 1st 100 to buy the netbook from Maxis) comes good. Along with my Dell Stereo Bluetooth headset and its bright trulife screen, its makes a pretty good movie watcher too.

My too bits.

Hmmm.. 8gb solid state HDD... That's the size of my "future" thumbdrive. LOL!! :-)

I find it hard that Windows Vista can run on that HDD that small without any issues...

Horizon,
Dell Inspiron Mini has a bigger screen and better keyboard, so it's still better in many areas compared to an iPhone. The iPhone of course is meant more as a phone rather than a surfing machine.

But I do agree with you, the 8GB hard disk is just too pathetic!
