The Internet is always full of ways to make money online. So it’s no wonder why a lot of people call the Internet a gold mine. Yes, you have the PPC, the Affiliate programs, the E-commerce, the gaming, and others that I’ve probably never heard of.
There is one that I heard of just recently. A friend introduced this ‘Earn While You Search’ program to me because I am on the Internet almost 14 hours a day, doing researches. I don’t usually think highly of these programs but I figured, why not? I’ll just have to search with a search box on my browser instead of going directly to Google. So I signed up with MySearchFunds.
Basically, MySearchFunds is a program that pays you for searching with them. While they are not a search engine, all they need you to do is search through them with Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. It’s a shame you can’t control where your search results come from though. But fortunately for me, up till now all my results were returned from Google, my favorite search engine.

To use the service, you will need to sign up (to keep track of your searches and your earnings) and install the MySearchFunds search box. I’m using Firefox so the search box is on the top right corner of my browser. The service is completely free of charge and the earnings will be paid via PayPal, unless of course if you are in the United Kingdom, then you can request to be paid via your bank account. And all accounts will be paid in 45 days after each month ends. Like the example give on the website, for searches done in January, you will be paid in mid-March. I just started a couple of days ago, so I figured I will be paid in July then.
I have searched scams and horror stories in regards to MySearchFunds and they do have their fair share of horror stories. On the plus side, there are also good stories about them too and I also found threads in forums where there were people who provide proofs for their payout. And since I don’t have to pay to use this service, I don’t really see any reasons to not sign up and earn a little extra in my PayPal. It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing. The image below shows my earnings in 3 days. I always forgot I have to use the search box on my browser.
This program is okay for me as long as I remember to use the search box. Well, if you have used MySearchFunds before or know of anything that is similar to this, do leave us a comment and share your opinions with us.

Another make money online tip!
Looks like this is a great program to try out… 53 searches and that generated GBP0.91, not bad at all. I can’t guarantee I won’t sit in front of my computer and press on the search tool endlessly and see how much I can get in a day. Maybe GBP100?
You know what’s the exchange rate now?
1.00 GBP = 6.35214 MYR

The minimum payout is 20GBP. Funny that Sharon did not include her referral link here. Might I offer $5 for you to feature my referral link on this post? hehe…

Yeah I think this is going to be dead soon. People will start using bots to perform “random” searches all day from multiple computers! They’ll lose money so fast, it won’t even be funny!

Paul: Unfortunately it’s not my blog, I’m just one of the authors. But glad you liked it anyway. Stay tuned for more good posts from our authors.
Kitkat: Yeah, it exchange rate used to be 6.9 which was better. I hope the rate gets back up. LOL…
ipohchai: I think the minimum payout is GBP20, and it rolls on the the next month if you don’t have GBP20. I read that somewhere in a forum.
Deimos Tel`Arin: I read somewhere that they do prevent search frauds, but don’t really know how they do it.
Syahid A.: The search results are the same as when you use Google or Yahoo. They are not a search engine, just a link to the search engine.

BobbyT: I did think about it like for a second but I thought better not. Lest everyone bombard me saying things like me trying to get paid referrals. LOL…..
Aseem Kishore: Probably, but hey, we can still use it while it’s hot. Yeah, that the optimism in me talking. Hahhaha….
ahyuen: It’s good if you do searches all day long, like me, coz you’re not doing anything extra anyway. Just type in the search box instead of your usual search engine.
Btw, you can also your personal MySearchFunds page as your homepage and search from there, instead of installing the toolbar.

You Should not search unnecessarily. as in the 1st day i searched 90 times and my earnings was 0. but if you make it slow and search for 20-30 times a day it will be approved and you should not also just hit enter and keep searching you should be doing it normally like usual search you do every day then you can earn money. if you do 30 search daily then on an avarage you can earn about 22.5 pound a month which is a fair amount and if you can add refferals that will be a great addition to your paypal account

Have you got any payment from them yet? It’s hard to believe coz I can’t see any benefit they will get for paying people to search using their “service” instead of using the original search engine.

Imtiaz,
The highest amount of my searches so far is 45. I guess that’s okay. I’ve got GBP3.10 as of yesterday. Can’t wait to hit GBP20.00 and get my payout. LOL…
Pink,
No yet. I’ve only just registered with them. But when I Googled them, one of the members posted a print screen of the PayPal payout in one of the forums.
They get some profit from the search engines when we use their service to search, so they just give us a fraction of their profit. Well, that’s what it says in their FAQ.

I will wait and see if you really get payments from them and then decide whether want to try them or not. Haha…

Hi, I am using mysearchfunds, I haven’t had any problems since I started, due to I do a lot of searches per day, I have done 4.07 pounds with 476 searches during these 6 weeks. However I am getting worried because of the letter from them I have just received.
They sent me a message telling me that they are going to investigate my searches and there will probably be a cut off in my earnings because they have a software which has detected I am commiting fraud, which is not true of course.
I have to say that I am not used to looking for things using yahoo but I was doing it because it was the only option with mysearhfunds. Hence, I made the decision that if they continue trying to cut off my earnings, which I don’t deserve, I will obviusly be back to the google search engine.
My question is:
Do they want to decrease my earnings because I could reach the amount of 20 pounds soon? (which is the minimal amount to be paid, by the way).
Do you know mysearchfunds is unfair or it is not a legal company?
I would really appreciate you could make me know about that.
this is my email: elreyespe@gmail.com
thank you very much in advance for you suggestions.

Hello,
Nice work! I am using mysearchfunds for a pretty long time. And I am earning more than 350 pounds per month. However, Most of my earrings come from my referrals commission.
THERE IS A GOOD NEWS FOR THOSE WHO ARE USING THIS SERVICE. I have developed a blog on that program. It will definately help you to get some quick facts about searching.
And I am preparing my upcoming post on TIPS FOR GETTING REFERRALS. Hope to have you there. http://www.moneyzeal.blogspot.com
