I know this is gonna be lame, but I thought it’s still much more interesting compared to showing me how you eat durian or showing me how you dig your nose! Hahaha…
I haven’t been to a Telekom office for years. Nobody wants to do so because we all know how torturing it’s to find a parking these days and there after the waiting for your number to be called. But today I was forced to go for a new line for my office. Bear with me for my lame story, I will see if there’s nice chicks to show you or not.

I was totally surprised to see that there weren’t too many people today! Thank God, my number was 3 in the line… must be pretty quick this time! While waiting I had a great time check out the place… looks like they had renovated the USJ branch (Last I was here was probably a year ago).

That’s one nice piece of animated decoration, showcasing TM’s flagship products namely Xpax, Channel X, Celcom, Streamyx, Homeline and Businessline. You read me right, it is animated. The back panel lights turn on and off in a pattern that makes the decoration looks like animated.

The customer service girl who helped me with my telephone line registration was actually quite nice looking and cute. But she was too shy to appear on my blog… so, too bad, no luck for you to meet her today! But, if you still want to meet her and buy her lunch… you know where you can find her, don’t you?
Since I was there, I took the opportunity to inquire about the Streamyx packages just in case they have some promotions introduced in conjunction with the festive season now. But no… what they have is still the old Merdeka Promotion, RM77 1mbps, free modem kinda of thing. I wonder if I should upgrade my Streamyx to 1mpbs. Still thinking…

Oh my goodness. Although my number was the 3rd in the line, but I wasn’t called after 45 minutes of waiting! I was going to put up a sour face if not of the sweet customer service girl! She was so nice and helpful and I got my line application done in less than 10 minutes.

Their new telephone that comes free (monthly rental applies) with every new line application is quite nice actually. Looks so much better than my old phone. Now it features 30 incoming memories, 18 outgoing memories, 6 quick one-touch numbers, hands free adjustable volume feature, IP route function… among others. You have any idea what’s IP route function?
Should I upgrade to the Streamyx 1mpbs package?

They suck! They should upgrade the streamyx so that we can get decent connection instead of doing unnecessary stuffs.

Jason,
Correct, but I guess Streamyx is still the best bet in this country.
KennyP,
Try their 4mbps package.

Compared to others broadband services, streamyx still the best because we’re connecting using land-line, much more stable.
That new phone not bad oh, but still don’t know what is IP route -.-

keeyit,
You are right, Streamyx has the monopoly as TM controls the telephone line. The other broadband operators have to beef up their wireless broadband services in order to compete with Streamyx.
I have mixed opinions on Maxis broadband. Some hate it and curse it, but some love it. I guess it depends on the area you are in.

Streamyx suks! They suspend my line suspecting me to be a virus spreader! Try to get it fixed by calling to their hotline… how to deal with them in phone i think some of you who has experienced it know it well, i was pissed off. After trying a week i gave up and go to one of the TMnet office, what i get after waiting for 2 hour there was, i had to deal with streamyx directly, which means i have to EMAIL THEM. WTH is this, they had suspended me and now expecting me to EMAIL THEM???
Alright, no choice but to obey, i went to a cybercafe. Tred to fix things right by following their instruction (virus scan-ed my computer, print screen after scanning to show the prove, filled up the form, and emailed them). The reply i got was ‘we are sorry, we cannot open your attached file’, i tried to send again but still getting the same answer. WTF, i used back their word file to fill up the form, why couldn’t they open it???? it was so ridiculous! So what next? they asked me to FAX. Can you guest what was the result now? ‘tak dapat lah, cuba fax sekali lagi’… This was really my limit already, it took me 3 weeks still couldn’t settle. I decided to cut off my streamyx line and get wireless. I am using IZZI now and you know how i feel? Heaven! (ps: streamyx no refund to me for the 3 week suspension, although i never used it, fxxk)

My problem is… my telephone line does not use cable but it uses splitter@wireless… if my dialup internet can how about streamyx?? Buy the cable Streamyx package and just use the zte modem… otherwise, ignore the cable… I think the internet can be use if i only connect the zte modem to the wireless home splitter… and it works through the air traffic??? What’s the difference? Can anybody help me?? Because I want to upgrade my internet speed. Thanx.
