I have just got back from the year end edition of PIKOM PC Fair 2007. Held at the KL Convention Center, next to KLCC. The venue is good as it’s big and new, definitely much better than the old PWTC. But the traffic was damn heavy this afternoon, for a moment I thought some street demonstration was ahead of me! Freak me out as I was wearing orange today! Totally forgot that orange is a sensitive color these days!
Anyway, after some bumper to bumper delay on the road, I finally reached PC Fair in one piece.

The crowd was hugh as expected. People from all walks of life from around the country flocked to this most talked about IT fair of the year. I pushed my way through the crowd, … and was happily greeted by the above Christmas girls from Ricoh. Haha… not bad, very Christmas feel. Red and with the Santa hat! Looks like a good PC Fair start.

A few big players such as Twinhead, Ricoh, Samsung, Epson and Olympus were in the first hall. The Ricoh girls were … ah, but wait till you see the Epson girl.

There, a very friendly and helpful girl from Epson. She was obviously bored standing there for the whole day distributing brochures. When I asked her for a photo, she agreed almost instantaneously and gave her best and sweetest smile for my camera. She was like the girl from next door, little or no makeup at all, young and innocent look. I was delighted.
The fair was as usual… very similar layout and arrangement like last time. I moved from within the various exhibition halls and checked out whatever gadgets that interested me. But, I think the babes interested me more than gadgets… I have no idea why myself, so please don’t ask me why.

I noticed that all the major broadband providers in the country were there. You name it, you can find it here. Even the less heard of new player such as P1 was there. Since they had some pretty young promoters there, I stopped to inquire more. It was absolutely free until 31 Dec 2007 and since she offered to fill up the form for me and post for my camera, I delightedly gave her all my particulars to subscribe to the service.
They should sms me the username and password within the next 48 hours, so that I could use their wireless broadband service immediately there after. I will give this new wireless broadband service a try and let you know if they are so good that you should kick Streamyx’s ass, or you should just stick with Streamyx for the time being.

In the next hall, there were all the speakers… big ass loud speakers and related accessories. All the major players were there, Sonicgear, Altec Lansing, Philips, Panasonic, and a few others which I can’t recall.

I wasn’t interested in these loud deafening speakers and there were not many chicks here to catch up with, so I quickly headed over to the next section. Good choice, more smiling faces awaited me there!

For a start, a big smiling face from LG.

Haha, don’t worry. I have real good stuff for you! How about not one but two absolutely beautiful girls from LG? They have certainly learned the smiling spirits of LG. So sweet and adorable… for a moment I thought I would just stay there and help them with handing out the brochures. But then I realized I have bigger responsibilities, that’s to bring you more pictures and happenings from the PC Fair. Sad, but I had to kiss them goodbye.
I moved on and reached the Lenovo territory.

Look at the amount of people there. Perhaps they are slowly catching up the the Dell popularity?… I think Dell is still one of the most favored brand in Malaysia, but serious players such as Lenovo and Acer, I guess are doing right in catching up. The Lenovo girls were pretty solid too.

Let’s fast forward to the last hall where you can find all the smaller computer retailers, and a few big names. This should be the biggest hall of them all. I shall just show you a couple of pictures and not bore you with too much crap.

HP booth with their range of latest laptops.

Microsoft was there too.

Some sort of online game - Perfect World. I haven’t heard about it before, not to mention knowing what’s it about. That proves I am not a gamer at all.
Okay, that’s about it from this edition of PC Fair… all pictures above are brought to you exclusively from Kitkat - Malaysia’s upcoming problogger. Moving into the ranks of Liucf! Hahahahahahaaa… ![]()

MerDuriaN,
Couldn’t help myself but to stop and take some pictures of the girls, the gadgets and the booths. The girls are too pretty to be missed.
I saw they offered some online game for RM2 only. Not sure if it’s Perfect World, because I wasn’t interested in games, so I didn’t stop to look at it closely.
You are right. All the broadband providers in the country were present. Streamyx, Maxis, Celcom, iZZi, P1, … ada lagi ke? Ah… also DIGI, but didn’t check if they offer broadband services or not. I signed up for P1 since it’s free up to end of the year.

MJ,
Don’t worry, the free promotion is still on. You can check out their website p1.com.my or drop by their office for more info. Quickly sign up and see how good or poor is their broadband.
p/s. The next day after the PC Fair I received their sms which contains the password for the P1 broadband connection. I have yet to find a fine day to go to a hotspot to test out the service though.
Caryn,
Sure or not? That’s too good and surprising to be true! The LG girl herself whose photo I took visited my blog? Thanks a million for posting sportingly for my camera! You were friendly and helpful.
By any chance, you have a blog of your own?
MerDuriaN,
Yes, P1 free until end of the year. No, I don’t think we need to use any broadband modem because they didn’t give me one when I signed up with them. I am still not sure how to use their service… not yet try although I have the login username and password already.

The Olympus babe is not bad at all. Too bad they only had one. As usual, Fujitsu delivered the ‘goods’. Nvidia’s babes wandered around, some are quite hot.

I wonder whether all these babes will come down to Johor Bahru or otherwise. Haha. For those staying in Johor, there’ll be a PIKOM PC Fair from 14-16 Dec at Persada Convention Centre.

Jayce,
Definitely. LG girls rocks!
js,
You managed to take any pics of those girls?
daniel,
You should go check out the PC Fair at JB then.
melissa,
Hohoho… what wind blow you here? Haha… you and your partner definitely were drawing the crowd.
imDavidLee,
What about the other girls and the gadgets in the fair? For me the girls were beautiful and the gadgets were great. Only if I had more time to shop around, I may just grab one of those MP4 players, … with FM modulator capability.
Caryn,
Thanks for checking back again. Sad thing is I don’t use Friendster. See you around.
