I’m on the verge of buying either an Iphone or a HTC Touch Dual. Making my decision right now.

Iphone is seriously awesome, huge screen, killer music/video/picture/internet programs. The main worry for me was whether i will be able to use my Maxis line with it, and since I am working in Bintulu Sarawak, it’s a big worry. Iphone got wifi, but no 3G, and that’s no biggie as i don’t use 3g anyways.

HTC Touch Duo is sleek and great as a PDA phone. The only downfall is it doesn’t have wifi. The screens not as huge as Iphone, but it’s a PDA phone, so dunno how to compare further.

After reading the comments here, my final decision is to go for an Iphone, since Maxis is compatible with it now. I hope I won’t have problems with it later. Gonna hunt for one tomorrow!!!

OK so far we’ve got 1 person out of 10 using 3G…. I rest my case.

I wish to qualify though, believe 3G, 3.5G, 4G and 5G whatever it is up to now will eventually take off… just need the greedy telcos in Malaysia to cut the rates.

Maybe Skype will come up with 3G too, free internet access anytime anywhere… the way it ought to be

To Bob @ #14th post – Yes I use 3G, yes I need 3G. And no, not to check traffic or watch astro.

So yeah, iPhone really doesn’t cut it for me, esp when I’m at places I need to use the internet do NOT have wifi spots. That’s the limitation of wifi – you’re locked in to a small area where it’s available.

3G is the biggest tech joke in years… classic case of over promise & under deliver. Do any of you guys seriously use 3G to do anything? like check the traffic or watch astro?
