It’s really amazing how blogging can bring in tonnes of money, even several times more than a full time job. This is no joke. Some famous blogs such as BoingBoing.com and TechCrunch record revenue of more than 1 million dollar a year according to a report by Business Week: Bloggers Bring in the Big Bucks.

Below is a summary of the top bloggers and their estimated revenue:
BoingBoing - Over 1 million a year
I Can Has Cheezburger? - Estimated $5,600 a month
ShoeMoney - Estimated $12,000 a month
Overheard in New York - Estimated $8,100 a month
TalkingPointsMemo - Estimated $45,000
Kottke.org - $5,300 a month
Wow $$$. It’s really amazing how these blogs can reap in so much money… they are doing better than most small businesses! Let’s take gasp for some air before continuing….

Perez Hilton - $111,000 a month
Gothamist - Monthly average of $50,000 to $60,000
TechCrunch - $200,000 a month
Go Fug Yourself - Estimated $6,240 a month
Mashable - Estimated $166,000 a month
Problogger - Over $100,000 a year
All the above estimated revenue are based on ad rates and self-reported traffic data. Can we do a list of the top Malaysian bloggers?
